My contribution to Earth Day is a picture I designed about ten years ago for a t-shirt I still wear. We have strong feelings about saving our planet. I don't use a dryer, and I never needed one since I live in Tucson, Arizona. Everyone jokes "it's a dry heat".
I can remember hanging up clothes in the winter when a young girl in Ohio, and I'm not suggesting anyone else give up their dryer. I think everyone will find there own way to save our resources. |
The wood plaques aren't from recycled wood, but I do find most of them at yard sales. Sure a lot cheaper when we are trying to keep costs down. My design ideas come from everywhere; magazines, cards, and even my own head. That can be scary. The birdhouses are definitely from my own imagination, and I think they would be cute on a porch or patio. The fish plaque idea came from a greeting card I designed some years ago. Cute in a child's room don't you think?

The Quilted CatThis type of wall art is created completely different from the painted styles. The base is a plain frame that is covered with a piece of cloth. The cat square had already been quilted and sewn to the fabric centered as best I can. The ribbon around the square is then sewn on and then the bow is attached. There is also a rabbit quilted the same way.
