This website allows a full month free, which is nice, but you don't really find out anything unless you go in with the idea of staying for awhile.  If you just list a few items for the free month thinking you'll quit if it isn't productive, you won't find out anything.  After the free month, I should be able to use my own domain name,  www.tigerseyecrafts.biz.  There's nothing  there yet, but hopefully there will be after a month.
As an added note, the comedy with the dogs continues, Bridgette, our black lab, still corrals the bones and hides them.  She spends her time after that worring and checking and rehiding.  I follow her and spy sometimes and she hides in pretty good places.  She hides inside and outside, and I found one in my sewing trash covered with thread.  I didn'know what it was at first until I peeled off the thread and material scraps.  Funny, funny.

Funny Dogs

4/16/2012

All of a sudden our two dogs started tearing things up  when we go somewhere.  We have tried a few things and cover tables and such with sheets.  Last Sunday we went across town and knew it would be for a couple of hours.  This time we left those chewy leather like bones about five inches long, and it worked.  They didn't eat them, and not sure what happened, but they have had a couple of fights over them.  They rarely have disagrements, but the 2 year old lab hides them and had three of the four stashed away.  Then she worries and goes and rehides them.  It has turned into a comedy.  It has turned into a comedy.

Finished the summer hat and I really like it. My problem is I always want it for myself, and I wouldn't have anything to sell.  I guess that's good that I like my own creations.  I also made one in a child's size and it's really cute, too.  I made a different style for a special order for a lady in the Red Hat Lady's Society, and ,naturally, it is red and purple, their colors.  She really liked it, so I added it to my shop as a custom order.

Made another hat, and bought some beautiful fabric for more.  Also bought a new pattern, for a summer sun hat.  I always need one here in Arizona, and now I can make my own..  One thing that upsets me from companys that sell patterns, is the statement in fine print that the item can't be sold after making.  If that is the case, it should be up front in the description of the pattern.  I just bought one recently that made that statement.  I made hats for my grandsons and my husband and moved on.  It was probably the worst pattern I ever saw anyway; some of the instructions I just had to  guess and experiment.  Oh well, as I said, Moving on.

I don't care what

I don't care what caused her demise, it doesn't matter now.  Please, dear God,  take her away home.

What Can I Say?he

1/26/2012

I sure have gotten behind on my blog, so what can I say.  We are building our business and that is so time consuming.  I do the computer part of the equation, but I  like the creating end of it so much more.  It's like any job, but at least it is our business.  It is easy to get obsessed when it is your own creations, but we love it.

Home in Tucson

10/8/2011

It was great to be home, but it was hot, hot, hot.  Of course our coolers started messing up pretty quickly.  We can't get on the roof anymore, so rely on the kindness of friends, and finally hired some one.  He did good work at a reasonable price, you can't ask for more than that.
We had to travel back to Albuquerque, to finish up changing the registration on the motorhome to New Mexico.  We stayed with my daughter,  and it was fun being with her and the grandkids.   After about five trips to MVD overall,  we succeeded in getting it registered.  I don't even want to talk about how many hoops we had to jump through.
Sooooo, now we are home in a land of dust.  I am still washing curtains and vacuuming dusty furniture.  My so Mike, and his new wife, Leigh, and my new grandson, Max, will be here in a couple of weeks.  I still manage to find time for Etsy and product making.  Sales are still really slow, but we love what we are doing, so we put our head down and create.

We had a birthday party yesterday evenin for Sarah and Willie, since we won't be here in October to celebrate/  We never get to see them open their gifts, so we had an early party.  We got Willie a mechanical tarantula spider.  He is afraid of spiders, but thought it was cool.  I think that's good.  By the time we left, he had touched it and finally piked it up.
I have made some scary pumpkins and ghosts and skulls for our etsy shop.  Everyone says how cute they are.  Hope I'm not wasting my time.
We will be heading home to Tucson next Thursday and after three months I'm ready.  It has been really hot, so I know it will be tough at first.

Post Title.

Well, it's Sunday morning and I tried a pancake mix that said it was buckeye pancakes.  They were ok, but didn't taste much like the buckeye I remember.   Watched Larry sleep in his chair for a couple of hours , which isn't unusial.  The dogs got us up early, (5;30 AM) so it does leave us draggin'.  We walk them around the park for about a half hour, or however long it takes to do their duty.  We do see some beautiful sunrises from where we sit on the high mesa west of Albuquerque.  Sunsets are't bad either.  I tell myself and quite often Larry, that people who don't have dogs with them aren't out to see the beauty.  Of course they aren't out in the heat of the day at 95 degrees either.
