Post Title.

Well, we are back in Albuquerque again.  We must have been really busy, since I didn't have time to post my news.  We made it to Moab, Utah to visit our oldest grandson, since he didn't make it to his dad's wedding.  He lost his job and had car trouble to boot. I'm glad we made it to see him, his fiance got a job and started that Thursday.  Their daughter we call  Leela(our great-granddaughter) has grown to be a little doll and I wouldn't miss seeing her for the world. My grandson reminded me that I  got him interested in the Harry Potter stories when he was ten and we were camping with him. I finished that book then and read the second to him on the phone long distance for the next year.  I miss those years sometimes.

Well, my son , Mike, was married the day after we celebrated my birthday.  It worked out well since family could come for both events.  The wedding was splendid aand beautiful, and you could see that Mike and Leigh really love one another. I think there was at least 100 people there and they seemed to have a lot of fun.  The children seem to have more fun than anyone.

Third sale.

6/28/2011

Yes, I had my third Etsy sale yesterday morning, and that is pretty exciting for me.  My online shop seems to have more activiy--that's a good thing.  We had to go into town to watch the grandkids, and so took the opportunity to mail the item out.  It was a Vintage locket with a delicate butterfly on the front, and lots of people had looked at it.  I knew it would sell, just didn't know when.  We will grandkid sit again to

Hot!

6/25/2011

I would hate to think how hot it is in Tucson, since it will be 100 degrees in Albuquerque for the second day in a row.  Thank goodness our motorhome has an air conditioner. Today I will be doing a craft show with my daughter, who also has an Etsy site.  She has a good business doing craft shows, so that is where most of her sales are.  The show today is a jewelry show, so don't know if I will sell anything, since our crafts are definitely not jewelry. Next week we will pack up for our trip to Durango(actually Bayfield) Co.

Got Some Rest.

6/15/2011

Kind of a quiet day.  We had to run into town to my daughter's house to pick up a box to ship the necklace and earrings I sold on Etsy yesterday.  We got it mailed off to my customer in Virginia for about $2.56. I charged $2.00 for shipping, but don't mind if cost a bit more--that's sales business.  Etsy took $.88 and Paypal took a little over a dollar , so cost of doing business.

Yea!  It's been so slow, but haven't thought of giving up.  We sold  second item and feeling pretty good about it.  Brought all of our items with us on our visit to Albuquerque--that's a challenge.
ook most of the grandkids with us to lunch at the Route 66 casino.  They love it.

Albuquerque

6/6/2011

We're in Albuquerque for a visit; it' not the mountains, but it's 6000 ft. and cooler.  It''s hard to run a business and travel, but we have all of our shop with us and more to add.  I actually have more time to work on the computer in our motorhome.  It's too windy and smokey from the Arizona forest fires to be outside much.  Of course, we have time to visit our grandkids when they have time for us.  They're getting to that age.

I am thinking about subscribing to Google Adsense and putting Ads on my site.  I was thinking it might draw more visitors to my website.  Has anyone had any experience with Adsense?              We don't plan to travel on the holiday weekend, but it hit 100 degrees today, so the mountains are calling.  It can get really, really hot in the Tucson summers.  If you plan a trip here, wait until winter, it's beautiful.

Futile attempts

I can throw my blog posts ino the void just like anyone else.  I am sure I will get the hang of this or accidently use the right method to reach out.  It is sort of a challenge; that's probably what keeps me going.

Internet maze

4/28/2011

I feel like I enter another dimension when I  try to learn another function of the internet.  With my etsy store, I am probably trying to learn too many things at once.  It is a maze of connecting systems that should lead a track to my store.  Unfortunately, the driver of this train is a bit slower, and a basically self taught computer tech.  Anyhow, today's lesson is trackback.  I understand what it is for,  but no idea how to.  Help.
